Erick Paredes is a producer, DJ, recording engineer and multidisciplinary sound artist whose work bridges global dance culture, live musicianship and deep-listening practice.
Rooted in soul, jazz, Afro-Latin rhythm and electronic music, his approach has been shaped by decades of experience across clubs, studios, film and performance spaces. Emerging from Miami's underground in the mid-1990s, he released his first 12" records on independent house labels and helped pioneer the alternative, globally informed sound now associated with the city.
Today that practice has three faces: cutting one-of-one records on his own lathe, designing and repairing high-fidelity systems for demanding rooms, and building intentional musical environments where sound, space and culture move as one.

Vinyl has been central to Erick's practice from the beginning. After studying disc cutting in Germany he acquired his own lathe, and now cuts exclusive edits, remixes and dubplates — for his own sets and for producers who need a record that exists nowhere else.
Dubwerks cuts for artists and institutions across the spectrum of music culture: legendary producers Arthur Baker and Todd Terry, Soulwax / 2manydjs, independent hip-hop's biggest self-owned act Russ, Soulection founder Joe Kay, The Recording Academy / Grammy Awards and Hard Rock. Each plate is cut, checked and test-played in the room, with the recording engineer's ear for dynamics, tone and headroom guiding every pass.

Erick consults on professional audio and hi-fi sound systems for leading venues worldwide, and is on call for hi-fi bars, private estates and residences, and internationally recognised clubs when a system with irreplaceable parts needs a diagnosis, not a replacement.
He works in sales and engineering at Soundlux Audio, Miami's high-end two-channel dealer (Audio Note UK, Soulution, Accuphase, Rockport), and curates his own vintage Bozak-based sound system. Recent work includes the hi-fi installation for Casa Tua's Formula One events (Miami, 2025) and the immersive audiovisual performance Color Theory.

Erick has led long-running residencies and collaborative projects featuring jazz, funk, symphonic and choral ensembles — including a five-year "Live at the Delano" residency with a 5-to-10-piece band, a 30-piece symphonic orchestra, and the 40-voice Brazilian Voices choir.
His international career includes residencies in Miami and Rio de Janeiro, cultural exchanges in Cuba since 2002, and performances alongside:

A seasoned recording engineer with extensive experience in studio production and sound for film — training that informs everything above: how a record is cut, how a room is tuned, how a set breathes.
